Councilman Mulvihill introduces Resolution to limit spending by appointees during their term in office
Louisville – Councilman Pat Mulvihill (D-10) introduces measure to amend current Metro Council Policies and Procedures to place spending limits on Council members who are appointed. The amendment seeks to ensure that successors are able to effectively run their offices and meet the critical needs of constituents.
“Citizens expect officials to be prudent and responsible when spending their tax monies, taking into account unforeseen or unexpected events or emergencies,” says Mulvihill.
Mulvihill has requested the Office of Management and Budget for an accounting of all District 10 project balances from previous budgets to determine if there are any leftover funds available that would enable him to efficiently operate his office and meet constituent needs.
