Councilman Mulvihill encourages everyone to come out for Light Up “Schnitzelburg” on Sunday, December 11th
Louisville – One of Metro Louisville’s oldest neighborhoods will take time on Sunday, December 11th to celebrate the holidays with the official “Light up Schnitzelburg” celebration.
“I want to encourage everyone to join the Schnitzelburg Area Community Council as they host an old fashioned neighborhood gathering during this joyous season,” says Councilman Pat Mulvihill (D- 10).
The festivities will begin at 5:30pm in Emerson Park under the Jim King Gazebo with hot chocolate, snacks, and holiday cheer.
“We are asking everyone to bring non-perishable foods to donate to Dare to Care, so that others in need will be remembered during this holiday time of year,” says Mulvihill.
Santa will be on hand to hear the Christmas wishes of boys and girls and there will be a walk along Hickory Street to sing Christmas carols at the pubs and restaurants along the way. It will be a fun event for all ages.
