Councilman Magre invites District 10 to “Shakespeare in the Parks” in Emerson Parks on Friday, April 10th
Louisville – Councilman Steve Magre (D-10) is hosting a special event for residents in and around Emerson Park in the Schnitzelburg neighborhood as “Shakespeare in the Parks” brings Macbeth to the park on Friday, April 10th at 6:00pm.
“Emerson Park is a great place to hold concerts and events such as a Shakespearean play and Kentucky Shakespeare has found a great way to bring great entertainment to all area of our city and I think the people of District 10 will have a great time enjoying a classic piece of literature in an informal setting,” says Magre.
“Shakespeare in the Parks” will bring a 90 minute, seven actor version of Macbeth beginning at 6:00pm at Emerson Park which is located at 1100 Sylvan Street.
Macbeth is a play about ambition. Driven to becoming King, Macbeth will kill all and any that get in his way. He puts his faith in the words and prophesies of three witches and his wife Lady Macbeth is instrumental in driving him to fulfill his ambitions at all costs.
