Councilman Hollander encourages everyone to attend the Buy Local Fair and show support for local businesses
Louisville – Councilman Bill Hollander (D-9) will be on hand Sunday, May 17th to show his support for the small local businesses of Louisville when he participates in the Louisville Independent Business Association’s (LIBA) 7th Annual Buy Local Fair.
“Buying from local businesses strengthens the economic base of the community,” says Hollander. “These businesses know our area and provide community important jobs that help keep our community growing.”
The Buy Local Fair runs from 12:00pm – 6:00 p.m. at Louisville Water Tower Park, 3005 River Road.
The fair will host a variety of local businesses, musicians, artists and craftspeople, chefs, community organizers and farmers. All locally-owned independent businesses and individuals were encouraged to participate as vendors.
Buy Local Fair will feature:
· Noon – 5:00 p.m. - The Louisville Water Company will have a H20 Kids Zone
· 12:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Live Music
· 2:15 p.m. – Magnificent Mushroom “Iron Shroom”
· 4:00 p.m. – Fleur de Lis Food Fight
Admission is free, $5 per car to park. Bicycles are free to park thanks to VO2 Multisport! Sorry, pets are not allowed on the Louisville Water Tower Park property.
“Take the time and come out to see what all small local businesses offer in our city,” says Hollander.
The Buy Local First Fair is funded in part by the Citizens of District 9 through a Neighborhood Development Fund appropriation.
