February 27, 2020

Louisville – Councilman Mark Fox is be on hand to welcome District 13’s newest business, Boom Box Fitness, on Saturday, February 29th during its Grand Opening and participate in a special ribbon cutting at 12:00 p.m.

“Many of our residents have expressed their desire to have a gym.  Boombox will be a very welcome addition to the New Cut Road corridor and give our neighbors a place to train for an event or just reduce stress and get healthier.”

Located at 8501 Als Way near the Outer Loop, BoomBox Fitness is more than just working out and sweating. The owners believe it is truly about the community. They will strive to create a business in the community where people can come and workout alongside their friends and make new ones.

Among the services offered besides just working out are stretching, squat therapy, core therapy, nutrition counseling, message services and sports medicine.

As part of its grand opening, there are special membership sign-ups and discounts for first responders, military, teachers, as well as employees who work at Ford and UPS since those company’s employ a lot of people in our community.

“We opened a new collision center last week in District 13, this week it’s Boombox.  In the very near future we will have a new food option on Southside Drive, and this spring a beautiful multi-purpose community space with Fairdale on the Green.  It’s a great time to be a resident of south Louisville, I’m glad to see District 13 residents starting to get some of the things they have wanted for a long time.”
