Chambers Armstrong to thank and recognize LMPD’s 5th Division this Sunday

Louisville (January 27, 2023) – The community is invited to join Councilwoman Cassie Chambers Armstrong (D-8) and the District 8 Advisory Board this Sunday, January 29, to publicly thank LMPD’s 5^th Division. The event is scheduled for 4 – 6 p.m. at the Bellwether Hotel, 1300 Bardstown Road.

Neighbors, businesses, and community leaders are encouraged to attend this event to personally thank LMPD’s 5^th Division officers for their hard work in keeping the community safe. Shootings were down over 80% in the Highlands in 2022.

“I’m honored to host this appreciation event to recognize the men and women in the Fifth Division,” says Chambers Armstrong. “Due to their dedication, the division saw a reduction in violent crime last year, and I hope you’ll join me this Sunday.”
