Appointments now available for the mobile CARE-a-van

Louisville (August 10, 2023) – Councilwoman Cindi Fowler (D-14) invites the community to make appointments for the Kentucky Humane Society CARE-a-van. The CARE-a-van will be in the PRP neighborhood on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the Westchester Center, located at the corner of W. Pages Lane and Terry Road. The van will be in the front parking lot.

Free vaccines and one month of flea/tick preventative care will be available thanks to Councilwoman Fowler’s sponsorship. All other CARE-a-van services will be available at the normal, affordable prices listed online at

“I’m thrilled to partner with the Kentucky Humane Society to bring the CARE-a-van to District 14 residents. This initiative aims to make pet care more accessible, convenient, and stress-free for our furry companions and their owners,” said Councilwoman Fowler.

Appointments are required for service, and residents may book online at or by calling (502) 438-3231. Appointments require a deposit, which will be refunded to all who attend their appointment.

Dog vaccines available are DA2PP, Rabies (if age appropriate), and Bordetella. Cat vaccines available are FVRCP, Rabies (if age appropriate) and FeLV.
