APCD Notice of Heaven Hill Public Hearing and Public Notice for a FEDOOP Construction Permit and Operating Permit

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a construction permit and to revise a FEDOOP operating permit, for Heaven Hill Distilleries – Bernheim Facility, Inc., 1701 West Breckinridge Street, Louisville, KY 40210, in accordance with Regulation 2.03 and Regulation 2.17. Construction Permit C-0243-0024-20-F will allow construction of a grain cleaner, three raw material hammermills, and two raw material storage bins (replacing existing equipment). The operating permit is being revised to incorporate the draft Permit C-0243-0024-20-F, final Permit C-0243-1003-18-F (Heaven Hill replaced bucket elevator #2) and final Permit C-0243-1002-17-F (R1) (removed an erroneous 5 tpy limit).

The 30-day public comment period starts on March 19, 2021, and ends on April 19, 2021. Written comments will be accepted at [email protected] until midnight or mailed to the District office, 701 West Ormsby Avenue, Suite 303, Louisville, KY 40203, by April 19, 2021. Oral statements will be accepted at a virtual public hearing to be held on April 22, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Instructions for joining the public hearing will be posted on the following website: https://louisvilleky.gov/government/air-pollution-control-district.
