snow ready Joined by more than 250 members of the Louisville Metro Snow Team, Mayor Greg Fischer today declared that the city is battle ready for the 2019-20 snow season.

Nov 4 2019 Sign-ups for Louisville Parks and Recreation winter basketball leagues underway

Registration for Louisville Parks and Recreation's adult winter basketball league at the Cyril Allgeier Community Center is now open.  

Co-ed play is encouraged, and the league is geared towards players 18 years of age and older.

Typically teams are made up of eight or more players, and they are guaranteed at least six fully-staffed league games. Registration cost is $450 per team.

Mayor Greg Fischer today announced Louisville Metro Government has been awarded $50,000 from the national Historic Preservation Fund to survey and inventory properties in the Chickasaw neighborhood with the goal of listing the neighborhood on the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District.
