Feb 11 2020 Councilwoman George and volunteers begin streetlight assessment with “Lights on District 21”

Councilwoman Nicole George and several community volunteers will begin a streetlight assessment for District 21 on Wednesday night, February 12th.  The goal of the assessment will be to assess street lighting conditions, report outages, and raise awareness around the connection between lighting and safety.

Feb 11 2020 Air Pollution Control District Proposed Permit

 The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a construction permit to Hexion Inc. (formaldehyde and phenolic resin manufacturing plant), 6200 Camp Ground Road, in accordance with Regulation 2.03. This permit is being issued to revise compliance demonstration methods for Hexion’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Recuperative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) is no longer needed as a permitted control to have compliant toxics emissions based on stack testing performed on August 28, 2019. The 30-day public comment period starts on February 13, 2020 and ends on March 16, 2020. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

Louisville, KY – Louisville Metro Councilman Scott Reed (District 16) will hold a town hall meeting on Monday, February 17, 2020 between the hours of 6:00 p.m and 7:00 p.m. at Historic Locust Grove (561 Blankenbaker Lane).
