Air Pollution Control District Proposed Permit
Notice of Action on a Federally Enforceable District Origin Operating Permit
The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to renew a FEDOOP operating permit for Flynn Brothers Contracting, Inc. (hot mix asphalt production facility) 4620 Robards Lane, Louisville KY 40213 in accordance with Regulation 2.17. The 30-day public comment period starts on November 20, 2021, and ends on December 21, 2021. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.
Drafts of the permit and summary are available at the District office, 701 West Ormsby Avenue, Suite 303, Louisville, KY 40203, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, by calling Matt King at (502) 574-6000, emailing our Permitting Department, or at the following website: http://www.louisvilleky.gov/APCD/docket. Copies of the application are available upon request. Written comments will be accepted through our online form until midnight or at the District office until 5:00 p.m. on December 21, 2021.
What is the purpose of this permit? This is a standard permit renewal.
Will this permit increase pollution? Operating Permit O-0415-21-F will not increase pollution since there is no new equipment being added.
Does this facility have a history of non-compliance? There has not been any notice of violation since the last issuance of the operating permit. See the Compliance History table in the Statement of Basis, page 13.
