“It’s official”, Country Meat Company fills last vacant space in the Logan Street Market
Louisville – Since it opened two months ago, the new Logan Street Market has been looking for the right company to fill its last vacant space. On Saturday, Councilwoman Barbara Sexton Smith (D-4) will be on hand when the official ribbon is cut to welcome the Country Meat Company to Logan Street.
“The Country Meat Company is the finishing touch to complete the Logan Street Market as a fully operational food retail outlet for our neighbors and tourists from throughout the region,” says Sexton Smith. “With the opening of this family owned butcher shop, we continue to shrink what we know as the food desert in Louisville Metro.”
This new Country Meat Company is one of two owned and operated by University of Louisville graduates, Tennel and Chanel Bryant. They also operate another butcher shop located in the Findlay Market in Cincinnati, Ohio.
This new store is a full-service butcher shop specializing in fresh Amish poultry, pork and beef, as well as smoked meats. It will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony will get under way at 10:00 a.m. The Logan Street Market is located at 1001 Logan Street. To learn more about what the Logan Street Market offers, go online to: www.loganstmarket.com
