Vacant Structures For Sale

The Landbank Authority owns between 50 and 100 structures across the community, ranging in size and condition. The Community Development Office (CDO) offers various programs in order to sell structures and place them back into productive use of the neighborhood.
 
If you are interested in purchasing a structure from the Landbank Authority, please call the Community Development Office's Real Estate Coordinators at 574-4200. The Real Estate Coordinators will walk you through every step of purchasing the vacant structure. 

Request for Proposals

The Community Development Office issues a bi-monthly Request For Proposals (RFP) for structures that are ready for sale and renovation. About 4-7 houses are listed on each RFP and an open house schedule is provided.

Last Look

  • Buyers can purchase these structures for $1.00 if they can prove they have the funds to pay for exterior renovations and structural repairs OR buyers can purchase these properties if they prove they can pay for demolition. Buyers do not have to show CDO a plan for the site if they pay for demolition. 

  • To purchase a structure through the Last Look program, you may download the application here or fill it out and directly submit it here. 

  • This new program is for buyers to purchase a structure that is a candidate for demolition. Buyers will have 60 days to show interest in purchasing the property and save it from demolition.

  • Save the Structure: In the first 30 days of this 60 day window, the buyer can purchase the property if they can prove they have funds to pay for exterior renovation and structural repairs. The property will be deed restricted with renovation deadlines of 6 months for exterior and 18 months for interior. This will be available during all 60 days that is structure is a part of the Last Look program.

  • Demo for Deed: In the second 30 days of the 60 day window, if the buyer shows proof they can pay for demolition, they can purchase the property then demolish the property and do not have to show CDO a plan for the site. Future plans will still need approval by the Offices of Planning & Design and Construction Review.
