Neighborhood Planting Projects

Host a Neighborhood Planting Project!

Anyone is eligible to run a local tree planting, as long as they have permission to plant trees from the participating property owners. All donated trees must be planted in the public right of way with a minimum of 10 trees and a maximum of 50 trees. We cannot consider species requests but will provide as diverse of a stock as we can with what is remaining on our tree lot.

What we need from the applicant:

  1. Fill out this application detailing your project and map individual trees
*Please ensure both form and mapping sections are submitted before closing your tabs!
  2. Encourage your neighbors to participate in receiving a free tree
  3. Plant your donated trees following Urban Forestry guidelines
  4. Watering and maintenance of newly planted trees (trees need water for 3 years to become established)

What Urban Forestry will provide:

  1. Free trees donated and delivered to a central location for your planting
  2. Free mulch donated and delivered to a central location for your planting
  3. Free watering apparatuses (tree water bags or Greenwells)
  4. Tools and PPE loaned out for the planting date
