Public Works Equity Impact Statement

The Department of Public Works and Assets is committed to making Louisville a more equitable city and has drafted an Equity Impact Statement for Fiscal Year 2022 with goals for how the department will progress in that mission.

Equity Vision Statement

The goal and vision of the Department of Public Works and Assets is to be a high performer that equally provides services to both residents and visitors. 

Department Equity Goals

  1. Increase minority contractor involvement by 20% in our capital budget by Fiscal Year 2023.
  2. Create Contractors Assistance Program to increase minority contractors. 
  3. Increase the number of minority supervisors and higher-level equipment operators in Fiscal Year 2022 by 10%. 
  4. Increase minority purchasing by 10% for non-capital budget.
