Engineering and Capital Road Construction
Welcome to the Louisville Metro Public Works, Engineering Division
The Public Works Division of Engineering is responsible for the design and function of the city's roads and the system of signals, signs and markings that control traffic on those roads. We manage all capital road construction projects, regulate and review the interface of private construction plans with the public right of way, and offer a set of standard drawings to assist contractors in meeting design requirements.
