Our Mission 

The Department of Public Works is fully committed to providing the highest quality of public services and enhancing the quality of life for all Louisville Metro citizens.  The Department will effectively and efficiently maintain Metro's infrastructure; improve roadway systems; support progressive environmental initiatives; deliver superior external and internal customer service and tirelessly explore innovative processes that allow us to more efficiently serve the public.

ENGINEERING
Jeffrey Brown
Serves the Louisville Jefferson County Metro community in oversight of capital road construction, traffic operations and GIS technology.

PLANNING / COUNTY ENGINEER

County Engineer
Serves the Louisville Jefferson County Metro community as a representative on the Planning Commission.

ROAD OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE

Serves the Louisville Jefferson County Metro community in oversight of roadway operations and maintenance of streets, roads, bridges, drainage systems and snow removal.

SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES

Serves Louisville Jefferson County Metro  community by overseeing the pickup and removal of Solid Waste and other related programs such as recycling.
