Internship and Volunteer Opportunities
The Public Art Initiative manages the City’s collection of public art and develops new public art projects. Internship and volunteer opportunities are available to actively develop the archive and/or build new programs. Responsibilities might include researching art objects, gathering site data, data entry, writing text, and participating in outreach programs. Interns may also have an opportunity to work with the Commission on Public Art and assist with public meetings. Ideal candidates will have experience and/or coursework focused in studio art or design, curatorial studies, art education, social change, urban planning, GIS, and/or copyright law. Please contact publicartinfo@louisvilleky.gov for more information.
