Portland Neighborhood Grant

Louisville Metro Government has been awarded a grant from the Kentucky Heritage Council’s Certified Local Government Grant program. The grant provides funding to survey the historic buildings and sites in the Portland Neighborhood. The goal is to expand the current Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, to include more of the neighborhood. This is a multi-year project during which time there will be several community meetings.

The first community meeting to discuss the project was held November 5, 2019 at a Portland Now meeting at the Portland Branch Library (3305 Northwestern Parkway). PDS staff is working to schedule future meetings.
