Standard Design Guidelines
The Standard Design Guidelines are used to review certificate of appropriateness applications in most of Louisville Metro's local preservation districts. The Design Guidelines are the distinctive characteristics and the statement of specific principals and standards governing exterior alterations to structures or sites applicable to each district and to individual landmarks which are adopted by the Council . The Design Guidelines are based on the United States Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
