OPI is the planning and improvement function within Louisville Metro Government. We focus on working with departments to create customized solutions for better service delivery.

Our consultants use industry-leading practices to:

  • Develop and coordinate strategies across Louisville Metro Government
  • Lead cross-functional teams dedicated to increasing efficiency and eliminating waste
  • Create a data-driven culture focused on continuous improvement
  • Train employees in Lean and Six Sigma and other topics like project management and data analysis 

What Works Cities Gold 2019



What Works Cities provides certifications to cities who “build the most well-managed local governments possible."

In April 2019, Louisville improved their certification status from silver to gold, marking our continued progress in improving our operations across the government.
