LouieStat
In 2012, LouieStat became a core program of performance measurement. Facilitated by OPI, it is one of the first of its kind for a Metro government. LouieStat (Louisville Statistics) brought Metro departments, the mayor and the senior leadership team regularly. Together, the team reviews enterprise and operational metrics, projects planned, and projects underway to drive process improvement. This process identifies action steps to continually improve service delivery to the residents of Louisville.

In 2019, OPI launched LouieStat 2.0 which better aligned strategic plans with the program. Now, departments review progress toward strategic initiatives and operational key performance indicators (KPIs) to make sure we are working toward increased efficiency and productivity in high priority areas. LouieStat is essential to what we do because it provides a structured system for understanding where we are, where we want to be, and how we plan to get there.
OPI has made improvements to the LouieStat 2.0 program including:
-
assuring KPIs are aligned to strategic plans,
-
using technology to automate reporting and improve visualizations,
-
identifying more opportunities for improvement in departments, and
-
highlighting opportunities for collaboration in Louisville Metro.
