What this center offers:
Housed in a former Carnegie Library, the Shelby Park Community Center is beautiful historic structure which focuses primarily on youth/teen programming. The center offers an after-school tutoring programming and a teen room. Stop by the Shelby Park Community and join the fun!
**Please note: Class offerings are based on attendance – please call this community center to verify class schedules and times.
Dare to Care Food Bank is proud to partner with local, non-profit after-school programs to offer free evening meals to children in our community through our Kids Cafe program. Children (18 and under) receive a warm, nutritious meal in a safe environment. In addition to receiving a meal, each child has the opportunity to participate in academic and extracurricular activities. Serving times are Monday - Friday, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
*Note: If JCPS is closed due to inclement weather, hot meals will not be served.
Louisville Parks and Recreation is happy to provide free WiFi to visitors of Shelby Park Community Center.
Please check with center staff for current volunteer opportunities.
