Park Assessment Challenge

What is a Park Assessment?

Park assessments are a quick and easy process to score our parks, like a report card! You, the park user, can help us improve the parks you love by identifying issues you see. The park assessment gives you tools to identify and report issues directly to parks staff!

There are two options to complete an assessment. Print and take the PDF assessment with you or complete the online form! Click the buttons below to check out the options.

Please email Park Assessment to the Louisville Volunteer Office OR mail to:

We need your help to complete a Park Assessment in EVERY SINGLE NEIGHBORHOOD PARK! These “pocket parks” are small gems scattered throughout Louisville and they don’t always get the attention they deserve. Help us by assessing your neighborhood park or EXPLORE and visit a new park!

Check out the map below to see what parks still need to be assessed:

Why Complete a Park Assessment?

Have you ever thought a playground could use some new paint? Notice a broken board on a picnic table? Park Assessments help you share what you see with staff that can make the change! With 120 parks and over 13,000 acres of public land, problems can be missed. Park assessments are an easy way to make sure our smallest parks get the love and attention they deserve!
