What this center offers:
Come visit Newburg Community Center, next to Petersburg Park - an active community center offering programs for all ages.
- Fitness/Exercise – Adult classes in cardio, Zumba, Latin dance and weights.
- Cooking – Instructional classes on all aspects of cooking from baking to nutrition.
- Book Club
- Workshops/training - Financial Literacy, Travel, Retirement, Health.
- Adult Sports Leagues - Basketball, volleyball, kickball, golf outings, fishing, cycling & horseshoes.

Dare to Care Food Bank is proud to partner with local, non-profit after-school programs to offer free evening meals to children in our community through our Kids Cafe program. Children (18 and under) receive a warm, nutritious meal in a safe environment. In addition to receiving a meal, each child has the opportunity to participate in academic and extracurricular activities. Serving times are Mon - Fri, 4:30pm - 5:30pm.
*Note: If JCPS is closed due to inclement weather, hot meals will not be served.

A more resilient, empowered community has been developed through the Zones of Hope initiative which focuses on reducing violence, increasing educational and employment opportunities and improving the narrative surrounding young men and boys of color.
