TRC Trauma Resilient Communities

The TRC Initiative is a city-wide program, funded by SAMHSA, and managed by the Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods, that seeks to promote resilience and equity for Louisville’s youth and families disproportionately affected by trauma, race-based trauma, systemic inequities, violence, and civil unrest.
Our partners include the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work, Seven Counties Services, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the Center for Trauma Resilient Communities (CTRC), and Spalding University’s Center for Behavioral Health.
This Initiative Helps:
-
Enhance leadership and capacity for organizations to sustain a trauma-informed system of care.
-
Increase knowledge and skills of personnel who make referrals and/or provide services to youth and families regarding trauma, racial inequity, community violence, and related services.
-
Provide trauma-focused intervention services to children and families impacted by violence, and evaluate the impact of the project.
Through our partnership with Seven Counties Services, and Spalding University Center for Behavioral Health, we offer the following AF-CBT and RTT services:
