Police Ombudsman/Citizen Advocate
The Police Ombudsman/Citizen Advocate can assist persons who wish to file a complaint against a Louisville Metro Police Department official for misconduct.
The role of the Police Ombudsman/Citizen Advocate is to help maintain integrity with the public for the Louisville Metro Police Department's Professional Standards Unit internal investigation.
Though not representing a Complainant like an attorney or other legal representative, the Police Ombudsman/Citizen Advocate can assist persons in filing the initial sworn affidavit of complaint and be present at subsequent proceedings.
Please contact the Louisville Metro Office of Inspector General Police Ombudsman Stella Dorsey or call (502) 574-8104 for more information.
