As our community navigates the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Neighborhood Place is a resource for those who have been economically impacted. Since 2020, we've provided more than $50 million in rent assistance to over 7,000 Louisville households through federally-funded Eviction Prevention Programs.
Appointments are required for most programs, see specific details below.

Required Documentation includes:
- Picture ID for ALL adult members (18 yrs. and older) in the household;
- Proof of social security for all household members, or ITIN numbers, or proof of age for under 2 years old. OR self-declared for Undocumented persons;
- The gross household income must fall at or below 50% AMI (Area Media Income) within the last 60 days to be eligible;
- Copy of the most recent lease or rental agreement;
- Past-Due rent notice if applicable;
- Completed Rental Assistance Application Form and Landlord/Tenant Agreement found at the Drop Box or download below:

Applicants will submit necessary paperwork to the Neighborhood Place location where the appointment was scheduled, either in person or online by clicking the button:

This program is designed to assist households in Jefferson County that have been impacted by COVID-19 with their LG&E, Louisville Water, and/or MSD utility bills. To be eligible, households must be at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Required Documentation includes:
- Picture ID for ALL adult members (18 yrs. and older) in the household;
- Proof of social security for all household members, or ITIN numbers, or proof of age for under 2 years old. OR self-declared for Undocumented persons;
- Total household income from the previous month, use the application form to indicate or complete the Zero Income Form (below) if applicable;
- Current utility bill with a balance owed to LG&E, Louisville Water Company, and/or MSD;
- Completed Utility Assistance Application Form, available at the Neighborhood Place dropbox or download below;

MORTGAGE RESOURCES
The Kentucky Homeownership Protection Center has resources for residents who are currently delinquent or in danger of becoming delinquent on their home loans. Visit protectmykyhome.org
Louisville Water Company is providing direct assistance to their customers. Apply online using the self-service portal at https://louisvillewater.com/CovidFunds
LIHEAP, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, is administered through the city's Office of Resilience and Community Services. Water and waste water assistance, LIHWAP, is now available as well. Check here for eligibility and how to apply.
FEMA is providing financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses incurred on or after January 20, 2020. Eligibility requirements and instructions on how to apply are available online FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance and through FEMA's dedicated helpline at 1-844-684-6333.
