HOUSING STABILIZATION PROGRAM (Rental Assistance and Case Management)
Neighborhood Place's Housing Stabilization Program is designed to provide income eligible households with both long- and short-term rental assistance and case management. Program participants can expect a case management experience that strongly emphasizes the development of self-sufficiency by focusing on employment, education, housing, wellness, and/or income management goals. Household must be within income guidelines; be willing to participate in case management; and meet other eligibility criteria. CARES UTILITY ASSISTANCE
This program is designed to assist households in Jefferson County with their LG&E and/or Louisville Water bills. To be eligible, households must be at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines. Schedule an appointment online or call the automated scheduler at 502-977-6636. Applicants must download and fill out the CARES Utility Assistance Application to bring to the appointment. Adult individuals in the household with no income (and no documentation of zero income status) must also fill out and submit the Zero Income Form.
LIHEAP & MSD
LIHEAP, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, is administered through the city's Office of Resilience and Community Services. Information about MSD Discount programs for eligible residents is also available. Schedule an appointment online or call the automated scheduler at 502-991-8391.
MORTGAGE RESOURCES
The Kentucky Homeownership Protection Center has resources for residents who are currently delinquent or in danger of becoming delinquent on their home loans. Visit KHPC's website for more information.
FUNERAL ASSISTANCE
FEMA is providing financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses incurred on or after January 20, 2020. Eligibility requirements and instructions on how to apply are available on FEMA's website and through FEMA's dedicated helpline at 1-844-684-6333.
