We recently created a new online application for emergency plans – ChildSafe. It’s fully responsive, easy to use, and secure. Now it’s much easier for you to submit and update emergency plans. It’s also much easier to save or print updated records.
KENTUCKY LAW REQUIRES...
By law, child care centers must have written plans in case of a natural or manmade disaster. Their plans should include reunification strategies and written records of performed fire, earthquake, and tornado drills.
When a young child needs to be evacuated from a center due to unexpected events, notifying parents and safely reuniting each child with an approved caregiver should be a top priority. It’s not enough that the staff members at child care centers or preschools know the emergency plan; parents need to know the plan too.
