Redistricting Information
In accordance with state law and following the completion of the 2020 US Census, the Louisville Metro Council will begin the process of redistricting with a new Ad Hoc Committee on Redistricting.
The goal of the Ad Hoc Committee is to reapportion the boundaries for each of the twenty-six (26) Metro Council legislative districts. Pursuant to state statutes, Metro Council boundaries shall be drawn so that the districts are compact, contiguous and the population of each district shall be as nearly equal as is reasonably possible. Whenever possible, each district shall respect existing neighborhood, community, and city boundaries.
