District 8 is comprised of some of the most interesting, eclectic neighborhoods and small cities in all of Louisville. These include (in whole or in part): Alta Vista (Cherokee Seneca); Belknap; Bon Air; Bonnycastle; Braeview (Cherokee Gardens); Cherokee Triangle; Deer Park; Germantown; Hawthorne; Highlands Douglass; Kingsley; Original Highlands; Seneca Gardens; Seneca Vista (Bowman); Strathmoor Manor; Strathmoor Village; Tyler Park; and Upper Highlands (Gardiner Lane and Hayfield Dundee).

Bardstown Road forms the backbone of the District, cutting through the middle and touching every major neighborhood.

District 8 is also home to some of our city's most incredible parks, including Cherokee Park and Tyler Park--two world-renowned Olmsted Parks. The combination of bustling urban corridor and quiet green space is what gives District 8 its unique feel and character.
