D8 Community

District 8 includes four home rule cities* and 13 neighborhoods (in whole or in part): Alta Vista (Cherokee Seneca); Belknap; Bonnycastle; Braeview (Cherokee Gardens); Cherokee Triangle; Deer Park; Germantown; Hawthorne; Highlands Douglass; Kingsley*; Original Highlands; Seneca Gardens*; Seneca Vista (Bowman); Strathmoor Manor*; Strathmoor Village*; Tyler Park; and Upper Highlands (Gardiner Lane and Hayfield Dundee).

D8 Spending 

Each year, every Metro Council District receives: Neighborhood Development Funding (NDF) (historically $75,000, $65,000 in FY2020) for Metro Government projects, programs or operating grants to eligible non-profits; Capital Infrastructure Funding (CIF) (historically $100,000); and Cost Center funding (historically $30,000, $25,000 in FY20) to pay for expenses to run his or her office.
