About Jecorey Arthur
Jecorey "1200" Arthur is an award-winning teacher, musician, and activist from the West End of Louisville, KY. He has taught around the world, performed with dozens of symphony orchestras, and provided workshops, lectures, and content educating people about the state of Black America. He's currently a professor at the HBCU Simmons College of Kentucky. In 2020 he was elected as the youngest member of Louisville Metro Council in city history.
About Brianna Wright
Brianna Wright is a Louisville-based entrepreneur, organizer, and mentor. As the Louisville Metro Council District 4 Legislative Assistant, she is the main contact for connecting constituents to city resources, awarding non-profit grants, and district communications.
About Metro Council
The mission of Louisville Metro Council is to enact legislation to meet the needs of the citizens of Louisville Metro. This legislation is passed through committees including Planning and Zoning, Government Oversight and Audit, Equity and Inclusion, Public Safety, and more. In addition to legislation and legislative oversight, the council also appropriates an annual city budget and helps connect constituents to city services.
