About Anthony Piagentini
Anthony Piagentini was elected in November 2018 to serve as Councilman for Metro Council District 19. Councilman Piagentini is a businessman with over 20 years of private sector experience. The past 8 years he has worked for several businesses in Louisville’s health care sector. His formal education includes his undergraduate degree in Economics. He also studied in Taichung, Taiwan for a year studying Mandarin, Chinese. Anthony finished his education by receiving his MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix.
Anthony is also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He served honorably between 2003 and 2011 including a tour in Ramadi, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
This year Anthony was re-elected by his caucus to serve as Chair of the Minority Caucus. He will be the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Government Oversight and Audit, and the Committee on Equity and Inclusion. Councilman Piagentini will also sit on the Budget Committee, Public Works Committee, and Committee on Committees. He looks forward to continuing to serve the constituents of District 19 and the City of Louisville.
Anthony has been married for over 15 years to his wife Nejma Piagentini. They have twin 12-year old daughters, and they are all active parishioners of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
