About Anthony Piagentini

Anthony Piagentini was elected in November 2018 to serve as Councilman for Metro Council District 19. He serves the suburban cities of Middletown, Blue Ridge Manor, Douglass Hills and Woodland Hills, as well as many neighborhoods including Arlington Meadows, Berrytown, Beckley Woods, Copperfield, Eastwood, Lake Forest, Locust Creek, Polo Fields and Shakes Run.

Councilman Piagentini is a businessman with over 20 years of private sector experience.  The past 7 years he has worked for several businesses in Louisville’s health care sector including RxCrossroads, ResCare, and now, WellCare of Kentucky.  His formal education includes his undergraduate degree in Economics.  He also studied in Taichung, Taiwan for a year studying Mandarin, Chinese.  Anthony finished his education by receiving his MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix.

Anthony is also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve.  He served honorably between 2003 and 2011 including a tour in Ramadi, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

This year Anthony will be the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Labor, Economic Development and Contracts.  He will also be a member of the Committee on Public Safety; Public Works, Facilities, Transportation, and Accessibility; and Government Oversight, Audit and Ethics. He looks forward to serving the constituents of District 19 and the City of Louisville.

Anthony has been married for over 14 years to his wife Nejma Piagentini.  They have twin 9-year old daughters, Cecilia (Cece) and Giavanna (Gia). Nejma and Anthony are active parishioners of St. Bernadette Catholic Church including serving on the Parish Council, Cantering, Ushering, and singing in the Parish Praise Band.
