About Scott Reed
Scott Reed is a native Kentuckian, a graduate of Waggener High School, and the University of Louisville. He is an executive with his family's printing business, V.G. Reed & Sons Inc, a HubZone (SBA classification) certified, national printing/fulfillment company with an international client base in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, healthcare, and financial industries.
Having spent extensive time traveling to communities similar in size as Louisville, Scott has seen the positive impact a proactive business tax structure has on job creation. By working together, he feels strongly that Louisville can attract the high quality, high paying jobs such as cities like Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, and the greater Nashville, Tennessee area. Public safety and infrastructure are his most important priorities in the district.
Reed serves on the Commission for Persons With Disabilities, as well as several Council committees, including Vice Chair of the Planning & Zoning and Public Safety committees, and as a regular member of the Government Accountability/Oversight Committee.
He attends Northeast Christian Church in Louisville, having served for many years as a musician (drummer) with the Praise Team.
Reed has two children, Madeline, an attorney working in New York City, and Zachary, a student at the University of Louisville.
