About Dan Seum, Jr.
Dan Seum Jr. was elected to represent the people of Louisville Metro’s 13th Council District in November 2022. Dan comes to the Council touting more than 25 years of advocacy for improved policies in state and local governments. Growing up in Fairdale Dan has an immense pride in his community, and is focused on improving public safety, delivering improved infrastructure, and representing the underserved South End. Dan is a strong supporter of vocational training and improving educational options for children. Dan is a graduate of Doss High school where he played football and is still active in coaching youth football in the community.
As the representative for Metro Council District 13, Dan serves all or portions of the following neighborhoods in South and Southwestern Jefferson County: Confederate Estates, Fairdale, Scottsdale, Yorktown. Included also is the largest urban forest in America, the Jefferson Memorial Forest, now over 6,600 acres.
