Riverview Independence Festival
Saturday, June 30th @ 3:00
The Annual Riverview Festival returns on Saturday, June 30th! The event, now in its 7th year, is the only Independence Holiday of its kind in Southwest Louisville and this year promises to grow that tradition.
We are excited to welcome rising country music star Cale Dodds to the Riverview Stage for the first time as our headliner! Teen country sensation Bailey James, Justin Paul Lewis, and Shane Dawson Band round out the musical lineup to entertain the holiday crowd.
The fun extends to the whole family as kids can enjoy Climb Elemental’s Rock Wall. This is a great way to have fun while staying active. They are continually updating their routes to include accessible climbing for beginners and experienced climbers. Come check out this cool new addition to the festival to experience the challenge and reward known by climbers everywhere.
Jefferson Memorial Forest’s ECHO Mobile is a mobile nature play unit that encourages kids to express creativity and imagination. It brings activities such as biking, archery and fishing, and a variety of natural materials and play opportunities to youth throughout the community.
The Louisville League of Mascots will be on hand to mingle and meet as well. This is the only organization of its kind that brings together character ambassadors from a variety of businesses. It's always fun to take a goofy picture with all of your favorite local mascots.
WUOL's Classical Music Experience will be here with a popup activity area for kids to play, explore, and learn the world of classical music. Their activities span from visual arts, theater, dance, and musical games For more information regarding the Classical Music Corner please go to http://wuol.org/classicalcorner/.

The patriotic photo booth is back by popular demand so you can get pictures with all of your friends and family. There will be plenty of wacky and fun accessories to make sure you are decked out in red, white, and blue. This is the perfect way to get a momento to can remember this festival for years to come.
This Southwest tradition would not be possible without the support of the Metro Council and the many businesses that partner to strengthen the fabric of our community. Special thanks to this year’s Presenting Sponsors Brown-Forman and Kosair Charities!
The festivities begin at 3:00 pm and last until sundown when the Ohio River will be a picturesque backdrop for a fantastic Fireworks Show at 10:00 pm!
