Louisville Metro Government is improving the way its employees request, book, and reconcile their out of town travel. Employees will utilize three new tools to implement this new process:

  • Metro Travel Request App
  • Metro-issued travel card
  • SAP Concur travel and expense (desktop and mobile)

These tools will allow for the acceleration of the approval process, improve consistency of documentation, and reduce time spent completing expense and reconciliation work.

A few highlights include:

  • Paperless process to request and approve travel
  • LMG-issued credit cards for each traveler to cover most eligible expenses
  • LMG’s custom travel booking site for airfare, hotel, car, and rail reservations (SAP Concur)
  • New LMG contracted travel agency (Corporate Travel Management) which provides a cost savings to previous travel agencies
  • Per diem reimbursement provided through your payroll check following travel reconciliation
  • Reduction in the number of OMB-required forms

Travel Services will be offering additional training sessions for assistance with travel expense eport reconcilications.
