FY24-Budget

2023-2024 Approved Executive and Detail Budget

(July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024)

Mayor Craig Greenberg presented his first proposed budget as the 51st Mayor to the Metro Council on April 27, 2023.  In the brief time he has been serving in office, it has been his distinct pleasure to work with the Metro Council members, their colleagues and the 5,000 public servants working hard every day to make Louisville a safer, stronger, and healthier city.

This is an extraordinary and important moment in the life of our city.  It’s a moment that demands new thinking and new approaches as we take on a collection of challenges.  This is also a moment of rare opportunity because we have the resource of federal funds that enable us to make calculated and strategic investments in our community, investments that will help every neighborhood thrive while also preparing Louisville to meet the needs and challenges of the future.

The need to meet this extraordinary moment is the guiding principle he followed in crafting this budget.
