Home to the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs is a world-class horsetrack and tourism attraction. The city signed the local participation agreement with Churchill Downs Incorporated in July 2003, and Metro Council approved an ordinance to establish a development area in June 2002. Churchill Downs has activitated the state TIF only.
