IMPORTANT COVID UPDATES:
Health and safety for all visitors and park staff is our number one priority. Please read our campground's COVID-19 procedures and only book a campsite if you are healthy and have not been in contact with anyone positive for COVID-19.
Currently each site is limited to TWO family units, not to exceed 10 people at a time. This measure is to maintain the current recommended gathering size by Gov. Andy Beshear. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the cancelltion of your reservation.
All campground booking information will be sent via email. There will be no paper camping packets distributed at this time.
Jefferson Memorial Forest features a campground for tent camping and can accommodate both families and groups. Although the Forest is only minutes from Metro Louisville, camping here seems like a much more remote camping experience. Located within the Horine Reservation, the campground is in the uplands of the Forest and has good separation between individual campsites. Seven family campsites and four group campsites are available. Latrines and water are near all the sites. Hiking is one of the main activities within the Horine Reservation and the campground is conveniently close to the trail system.
