Looking to do Business with Louisville Metro?

The Second Chance Business Certification program, spearheaded by Council Members Dorsey, Chambers Armstrong, Shanklin, Arthur, Bowens, and Purvis, is a valuable resource tool designed to benefit businesses of all sizes! This is not a job search site.

Contractors seeking to acquire a Louisville Metro Contract are required to employ certified MFDiBE subcontractors and make diligent efforts to meet procurement goals set by LMCO §37.67, including: 5% second chance supporting businesses.

  • SCSB Certification is an attestation that your business has a work force, on average, composed of at least 10% of people who have been convicted of a felony or Class A misdemeanor.

Why Second Chance?

This program goes beyond simply securing contracts.

It's about creating a more equitable and prosperous Louisville for everyone. By removing barriers to employment for individuals with criminal records, we can:

  • Invest in Your Community, Create a Brighter Future: Second Chance certification helps reduce recidivism rates and create a more inclusive Louisville for everyone. By supporting this program, you're investing in a stronger, more prosperous community.
