The 1 to 2 Year Child Package contains nutritious foods to help your child grow and be healthy.

Your child’s WIC Foods are low in fat and high in fiber, provide nutritional variety and help promote a healthy weight.

Here is a list of foods your child will receive each month:

  • Cereal: 36 ounces
  • Whole grain options: 2 lbs.
  • Fruits and vegetables: $6.00 in benefits
  • Juice: 128 ounces
  • Whole milk: 3 gal. & 1 qt.
  • Cheese: 1 lb.
  • Eggs: 1 dozen
  • Beans: 1 lb. dried or 4 15-16 ounce cans

* Peanut butter is not issued to 1-year olds because it is a choking hazard.

The 2 to 5 Year Child Package contains nutritious foods to help your child grow and be healthy.

How is this package different from the 1 to 2 Year-old Package?

  • Whole milk is replaced with low-fat (1%) or fat-free milk. WIC recommends purchasing low-fat or fat-free milk.
  • Peanut butter is included as an alternative to beans. Peanut butter is a choking hazard for children under age 2.

  • Juice: 128 ounces
  • Low-fat or fat free milk 3 gal. & 1 qt.

  • Eggs: 1 dozen
  • Beans or peanut butter: 1 lb. or 4 15-16 ounce cans or 18 ounce jar peanut butter
