Goodwill Voucher Program
Louisville Metro Office of Resilience and Community Services (RCS), serving as the community action agency for Jefferson County, is happy to share the news that Goodwill Industries of Kentucky has made its voucher program available through Kentucky’s Community Action Agencies.
Income eligible residents of Jefferson County in need of assistance for clothing, household items, furnishings and other supplies may be eligible to receive vouchers redeemable at participating Goodwill retail stores.
Program eligibility:
To be considered eligible for a voucher an individual must:
- Present a need that a Goodwill voucher can help to fulfill
- Be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
- Reside in Jefferson County, KY
Documentation required to sign up:
- Copy of picture ID, if available, or other form of ID for the applicant
- Proof of income for all household members for the prior month
- Social Security Cards for all household members
- Proof of primary residency located in Jefferson County
Individuals who meet the income guidelines and provide supporting documentation may be eligible to receive one Goodwill voucher for $50, and up to five vouchers totaling $250. The $250 maximum is a biennial limit. There will be no refunds from Goodwill if the entirety of the voucher is not used.
Intake procedure:
Applicants can begin the process by either visiting or calling any of the eight Neighborhood Place sites. Ask the receptionist to speak to a Resilience and Community Services (RCS) staff member regarding the Goodwill Voucher Program. Applicants will be advised of more details and what documentation will be required to complete prior to the initial appointment.

Applicants will be served on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is expended.
