To be considered eligible for a voucher an individual must:
- Present a need that a Goodwill voucher can help to fulfill
- Be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
- Reside in Jefferson County, KY
Documentation required to sign up:
- Copy of picture ID, if available, or other form of ID for the applicant
- Proof of income for all household members for the prior month
- Social Security Cards for all household members
- Proof of primary residency located in Jefferson County
Individuals who meet the income guidelines and provide supporting documentation may be eligible to receive one Goodwill voucher for $50, and up to five vouchers totaling $250. The $250 maximum is a biennial limit. There will be no refunds from Goodwill if the entirety of the voucher is not used.
Applicants can begin the process by either visiting or calling any of the eight Neighborhood Place sites. Ask the receptionist to speak to a Resilience and Community Services (RCS) staff member regarding the Goodwill Voucher Program. Applicants will be advised of more details and what documentation will be required to complete prior to the initial appointment.
Click here for a list of Neighborhood Places, addresses, and phone numbers; or call Metro311 by simply dialing 311 or 574-5000 for help locating the Neighborhood Place nearest you.
(Note: Current RCS clients can ask to discuss this program with their case manager).
Applicants will be served on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is expended.
