Here in Louisville, we know it takes a village, which is why we convene the largest workforce players in the city and region to grow and educate our city's talent. Each agency below meets regularly to address today’s workforce needs and plan for those of tomorrow. We encourage you to check out our special initiatives aimed at prepared Louisville's workforce for the future.
The Department of Economic Development has a dedicated Workforce Solutions Manager to serve as the concierge for all things related to workforce for businesses and companies located in or looking to locate in Jefferson County. Workforce Solutions within Economic Development works closely with site selection consultants along with Louisville’s education system, higher education institutions, nonprofit, workforce development partners and innovative workforce development programs.

As the Region's Workforce Development Board, we connect area employers with skilled, qualified workers and help residents of Louisville Metro, Bullitt, Henry, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties find jobs, education, and training. As a service to employers, job seekers and policymakers, KentuckianaWorks monitors economic data to offer locally relevant analyses and career-planning tools.
