UofL ShelbyHurst Campus
The University of Louisville Shelbyhurst Campus, a.k.a. UofL Research Park, is a 230-acre plot of land, which houses business, offices and technology endeavors, and is the location of the Center for Predictive Medicine (a Level 3 biosafety facility) and the Information Technology Resource Center for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The city signed the local participation agreement with Louisville Medical Center Development Corp. in July 2013. Metro Council approved an ordinance to establish a development area in July 2013.
