Heritage West
In 2020, Heritage West, a long-vacant 24 acres in the Russell neighborhood, will house the Louisville Urban League Sports and Learning Complex, a 4,000-seat, state-of-the-art sports and learning complex, an indoor track, and outdoor track. The project is anticipated to spark commercial development surrounding the complex.
The development agreement with the Louisville Urban League was signed in June 2018. Metro Council approved the sale of the property through a surplus resolution in July 2019.
