Residents of Louisville can apply for this new program to have up to 3 trees planted on their property (public ROW and private property). The purpose of the ReForest Louisville project is to encourage neighborhood "tree enthusiasts", neighborhood associations, clubs, or organizations with public ROWs to improve their local tree canopy. Only property owners can apply and funding is available by property location - anyone who applies within area with limited funding will be placed on a waitlist on a first come, first serve basis. Urban Forestry will plant trees, unless property owner(s) are a trained community forester and would like to plant the tree(s) themselves.
