About Rental Registry

The Rental Registry at Louisville Metro Department of Codes & Regulations serves as an essential entity dedicated to the effective management of registered rental properties. It is primed with maintaining the city’s housing standards by conducting thorough inspections and ensuring strict adherence to city property codes. Through this detailed administration, the rental registry aims to guarantee the safety, habitability, and overall well-being of citizens in rental properties.

All properties located in Louisville Metro and occupied or offered for occupancy in exchange for money or any other consideration must be registered with Louisville Metro Government.

Failure to register is subject to a fine up to $100 per day per housing unit.
